Marisa, now 24, was born in Miami, FL and lived there until the age of 10 when she moved to Albuquerque, NM.  She went to school at Central New Mexico Community College and graduated with 2 degrees, one Associate in Electronics Technology and one Associate in Photonics.  She has been working for RealTimeSites, a software development and website design company, for 3 years.

Staying in New Mexico was not always Marisa’s plan but after meeting Steve, she just wants to be where ever he is!

She was raised by her mom and dad, Sandy and Larry Archuleta, and grew up with her brother and sister, Elliot and Leah.  She’s also surrounded by a big, loving family in Albuquerque made up of her dad’s side of the family.  Marisa loves children and is looking forward to starting a family with Steve as soon as possible!

Steve, now 28, has lived just about everywhere.  He was born in Gaithersburg, MD and moved to Lander, WY when he was 12.  Shortly after, the family moved and settled in Santa Fe, NM where Steve attended both Santa Fe High and Capital High School.  After graduation, he moved to Albuquerque, where he pursued a career in the music business.

Although Steve’s plans were never to stay in New Mexico, meeting Marisa at the end of 2002 definitely changed his mind!  He is in the process of starting a business with his step-dad, Mark, that will probably keep him in New Mexico for some time to come. 

Steve’s parents are Denise Hopeman and David Rodrigue and he is lucky enough to have a great step-dad, Mark Hopeman and a great step-mom, Jennifer Rodrigue.  He also has a sister, Emily and brother, Marco.  Steve is just as happy to have children as Marisa and can’t wait to have a family.
